Frequently
Answered Questions
Here is a list of frequently answered
questions regarding the China Tour 2000 video.
Q:
When will the video be completed?
A: As soon as possible. I hope to have video
editing completed by January, 2001.
Q:
How much of the video has been completed?
A: About 75% of the tapes have been edited into
segments.
Q:
How long will the final video be?
A: We are limited to two hours on a standard DVD-5
format disc and VHS video tape. It is highly
unlikely that the video will be longer than this.
Q:
How long is the video so far?
A: Not sure. Probably close to 120 minutes,
which means that the entire video will have to be
reviewed and cut shorter after all segments have been
pieced together.
Q:
How long does it take to edit a segment?
A: Approximately two to three hours of editing time
are required to produce one minute of final program
material. This time may vary depending on
whether one or two cameras were rolling at the same
time, the ratio between the amount of raw footage and
final material, and the overall complexity of a
scene. The average segment is approximately 3-6
minutes.
Q:
Are you tired of editing this video?
A: Although it is a long and tedious process to go
through all the raw footage, it brings back
interesting memories.
Q:
How long did it take you to make the China Tour
trailer?
A: It took one night and one early morning.
