Clinician: Pat Bianchi
Pat Bianchi hails
from Rochester, NY, and lives in Denver, Colorado. He started out early on
Farfisa organ and gave his first concerts at the age of 12. Bianchi has
performed in New York City with Lou Donaldson, Javon Jackson, Terell
Stafford, Melvin Sparks, Peter Bernstein, Jesse Davis and Mark Whitfield.
Recently, he toured Europe with Alvin Queen, Brad Leali, Sean Jones,
Winnard Harper, Greg Skaff, Ralph Peterson and Clarence Penn. After
several CD appearances as a sideman, Bianchi, now only 30 years old,
recently recorded his first CD as a leader. It features Mark Whitfield on
guitar and Byron Landham on drums. Pat Bianchi teaches jazz piano and
organ at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Bianchi appears on the DKO
CD “Quench!” and will be featured on the upcoming 2007 CD release
“DKO Electric Quartet”.
