Jazz Festival I have scheduled the performance
times, which can be found at this link:

MAJOR conflict with the performance time/location you
have been assigned, start by contacting another director via
e-mail and trade times. Let me know if a trade takes
place so I can adjust the posted schedule.

the envelope someplace. Otherwise fees not so marked have been
"lost" in the past in the Business Office.

TOTALS FOR EVENING CONCERT TICKET NUMBERS FOR PERFORMING
STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED FROM YOU BY NEXT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17. You will
soon receive an email explaining more. Start now working on
exact numbers. We will NOT deal with NON-PERFORMING
(FULL PRICE) TICKETS AT THIS TIME. We need to see the solid
numbers of PERFORMER (REDUCED PRICE) tickets before we know if
we can sell ANY full price tickets to schools.

NOTE: We will have to
adjust the number of reduced price tickets some of you
ordered. As it says on the application and in the
"rules", only PERFORMING students and 2 chaperones
can get a reduced price ticket. All others must pay full
price. The current numbers are listed in your box on the
Director's Correspondence Page.
Due to the large number of
Jazz Festival Sponsors who paid $250 for 4 tickets
which makes the Basie Band affordable, we WILL HAVE to limit
greatly the number of FULL PRICE tickets we can sell to
directors. In fact, it is possible we will have NO full price
tickets to sell to guest schools. We will know once everyone's
REDUCED PRICE ticket request settle.
Again, final
ticket totals for your PERFORMERS (not money) are
due by OCT. 17, so start working now on your totals. You can raise or lower your
ticket totals until that date, after Oct. 17, you can only
LOWER them. This allows me to know how many FULL PRICE tickets we
can sell.

selection to be played at the Midwest Clinic will be sent
out in November and quickly rehearsed during the clinic warmup

NOTE TO BANDS
STAYING IN A MOTEL ON FRIDAY and/or SATURDAY...
Let
me know that you will be doing that. We have a
new sponsoring hotel that is only a 20 minute drive from New
Trier that gives a rate of $77 (including tax). It is near
resturants.
